Four Wings of Growing
We'll being with an outline of the Four Wings of Growing which outlines the four main stages of human life in general as follows:
Four Wings of Growing:
- Grow-up
- Grow-down
- Grow-out
- Grow-in
1. Grow-up
Grow-up during your first twenty-years of your life so you can become independent.
2. Grow-down
Grow-down during your second twenty-years making babies who will grow-up to continue your legacy via families, children, Heirs of the Oatmeal.
3. Grow-out
Grow-out during your third twenty-years branching out in careers and hobbies which people generally don't begin doing until after they're retired like in their 70s. Some might be able to begin retiring in their forties in a sense. People should try to make a bunch of money while having babies before their forties so they can then retire after that. And when I say retire, I mean focus more so on careers and what not which some will tell you to grow-out before you grow-down. They say focus on careers before starting families. That's dangerous as careers can keep you from growing-down.
4. Grow-in
Grow-in during your fourth twenty-years and beyond focusing on spending time with family and others. Make a will. Look at what you can pass on to future generations as inheritances and what not. This is your end game.
Conclusion
These are general outlines which may have exceptions or what not. Like we may end up in multiple stages at any time and in any order to some extent with reason. But this is basically what I prefer.
