I was able to copy with HandBrakeCLI -i /media/a/DVD_VIDEO_RECORDER/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_5.VOB -o ~/dvd002_attic2.mkv. And the extra commands you added didn't work. Grok was unable to do it. So, I kept it simple, I removed the extra commands Grok added to get Handbrake to copy videos. Now, please tell me the easiest way to glue multiple mkv files into one mkv file. But I prefer not to downscale, upscale, re-encode, or anything as the files are being combined or connected, I want to try not to lose or change data from the video files. I don't want any changes to the quality of the videos, the pixels, frames, audio, quality, etc. 2025-10-13 - Monday - 06:00 PM - Hà Nhật Minh 013 - IELTS Speaking Review PDF, pages 60-71: part-3 questions, skipped part-2 questions. See you Thursday. Breakfast: 06:00 AM. I told Grok about my Ubuntu laptop in previous sessions. Now, give me the easiest way to scan photo negatives on my Canon flat bed scanner which has no back light for negatives but I do have Photomyne which is made for phone apps only but there must be a way to use it with scanners and not just with phone cameras, I even have the Xsane program on my computer designed for negatives. Photomyne is just an expensive light that is powered by USB. It appears Photomyne does nothing except light. On Amazon, I thought it was an art pad thing. Perhaps the Photomyne phone app might have power over the Photomyne pad to control it but I have a feeling the pad is just a light and that is it. Xsane has an option to go from 16-bit to 8-bit for the filetype, is this related to Bit Depth? I still have that option set to 16. I bought the light because Grok said the scanner needs a light to scan negatives. But it's not working. I tried everything you said but that is not working. Yes, my scanner scans the negative without the light but it appears to be either black and white or faded colors depending on the settings, the scanner is able to scan and pick up the negative when it's set to gray and not when set to color or lineart. 2025-10-09 - Thursday - 06:05 AM - Hà Nhật Minh 010 - IELTS Speaking Review PDF, pages 26-27. I used Mkvtoolnix, version 82, to create one mkv file from several mkv files. After that, when I tried creating one mkv file from one mkv file and one mp4 from a phone with the tall phone dimensions, that saved but then would not play. After that, I tried creating one mkv file with nine vob video files, that is VTS_01_1.VOB to VTS_01_9.VOB, but then also the VIDEO_TS.VOB file too, that is a total of ten files directly off the DVD inside the DVD player connected by USB to my computer, that created one mkv file on my computer that was around 20 GB in size but that video did not play, it looks like there were errors or I do not know the exact details of why that failed. Currently, I am now trying to copy those same nine VOB files into one mkv file and that is minus the VIDEO_TS.VOB file but I currently see the program say there are 17 warnings and 0 errors at 4% complete. I imagine this new video will also not play either. See if it might work better if I copy the VOB files to my computer first. Car moved back to make room. Green House Clean: took everything out, sprayed shelves, sorted, cleaned inside house, removed bricks, mom was out there sorting, she cleaned plastic pots, containers, bins. Garden shed sorting. Big garage sorting the tools and stuff. Sorting papers in my room. Was doing all of this stuff for around four hours. Lunch: 04:01 PM. Dear Grok: You said red light is good for negatives. You said other lights might be bad for negatives but the backlight is not bad for the negatives but the backlight is not red light right? Grok is wrong. The video was playable. Mkvtoolnix created one mkv video that was 21.8 GB and 9:58:57 minutes or almost ten hours, it copied the nine VOB video files directly from the DVD disc in the DVD player connected by USB to my computer. That DVD is probably only around two hours and like 4 GB in size meaning some or all of the DVD files must have looped when being copied, that it what it looks like when playing through the video, I looked at several spots of the almost ten hour video from beginning to end seeing the video repeat itself possibly as many as like five times or less. Grok, you were wrong. You probably only said it would fail because I said it would likely fail. But I was wrong too. Grok is not a good AI if it can't learn to be smarter than me. Grok failed again. Scratch that. Now find a command to have Handbrake copy VOB files from my DVD player to my computer like before. Terminal in Ubuntu allows for multiple commands separated by commas or semicolons. Grok failed many times to get Grok to do specific things. Grok should try to just find the simplest commands to copy nine VOB files from DVD to nine new MKV files on my computer. Grok does not know when to quit meaning Grok failed many times. I feel like Grok is not very smart to make many mistakes so many times. Grok is either failing on purpose or Grok is very dumb. That is why I am telling Grok to keep this task as simple as possible, unless if Grok wants to fail again. Grok was unable to get Handbrake to do specific things. Grok should stop being so bad. You said direct -e copy -E copy in Handbrakes changes the container from VOB to MKV, now see how changing the container (which I assume might be the same as changing the ending of the filename, usually a dot followed by three letters like exe, png, vob, mkv, etc) via Handbrake in the Terminal might compare or not compare with changing the last three letters of the filename manually from vob to mkv in a file explorer on my computer, debate and deeply compare the pros and cons between these two things, look at probabilities, percentages, etc. Find the best program that might copy, assuming Handbrake only re-encodes and does not copy directly, also calculate the percentage of overall quality I might lose worse case scenario using Handbrake from VOB to MKV from the DVD to my computer through USB. Are you saying ffmpeg can be used in terminal to truly totally absolutely copy bit by bit in my computer via a Terminal command to copy say nine VOB files via a single command using say commas or semicolons or whatever that is accepted to simply copy VOB files to say MKV files assuming MKV is the best kind of file for the kind of archives I make, are you saying ffmpeg does not have to only just merely like re-encode like Handbrake meaning ffmpeg can in fact directly copy bit by bit without re-encoding or without losing say too many frames per second or pixels per frame in videos or say audio or whatever else unlike Handbrake and all other programs and methods in the world, are you saying ffmpeg is the best program in the world at doing this? This is telling me Ffmpeg can run into errors when copying from DVDs via USB. Tell me if Ddrescue might be the best program in the world to copy every bit from the DVD to my computer. Tell me if Ddrescue has the ability to truly copy like Ffmpeg unlike Handbrake which can only re-embed. Tell me which program might be the best to first copy every single bit from the DVD to my computer first, tell me if Ddrescue might truly be the best to make an exact carbon copy while also minimizing on errors like the ones Ffmpeg runs into. Find me the best program be it Ddrescue or whatever program that might be better. Are you saying there are two versions of ddrescue that the other version is gdrescue or GNU ddrescue or are these two the same program or which one is better and why? When copying via Ddrescue, are the errors mostly dependent on if the DVD has errors rather than being mostly depending on the transferring the data bit by bit via USB from the DVD to my computer, what is the percentage of lost solely on the path or transferring of the data from the DVD into my computer assuming that say 100% of the DVD can be copied, how much of a 100% copyable DVD can be copied via Ddrescue or how much might not be copied worse case scenario but assuming 100% can be copied but look at the path from the DVD through the USB into the computer and look at the Ddrescue software and the OS and other software and drivers and everything else to determine how much might not get copied bit by bit despite the DVD being 100% able to be copied, how much of the 100% might not get to the final destination of inside of my computer?

Now, give me the best command to copy from the 4.5 GB ISO file on my computer that I made from the DVD but only include the Ffmpeg program if it is the best to not re-encode but truly copy. I played the ISO via VLC but it appeared to be unable to go to page 2 of the menu to access videos 7 to 9. I don't know if that's a normal problem or what. Perhaps Ffmpeg will be able to copy the nine VOB files that may be contained inside the ISO file on my computer. Find me the best way to copy the nine VOBs inside the ISO into nine MKVs or one MKV. I think Grok was unable to find a simple best way to go directly into one MKV without using Mkvtoolnix which would be the next step after this I assume. I am thinking about two main options, copying 9 VOBs into 9 MKVs like I did before but from the ISO, the other option is what you called Option 2: One Concatenated MKV meaning only one MKV file but please tell me which of these two options has the higher probability of running into errors, loss of video quality, etc. We put stuff back into the green house into the bricks which is the flooring and some stuff into the big garage in case there are hungry mice. Dinner: 08:30 PM. Give me one command that can copy from the ISO on my computer the nine VOBs into nine MKVs with the maximum added commands in case there are errors or issues like the ones we saw earlier, try to use commas or semicolons or whatever that will be accepted so I can enter in just one command to have Ffmpeg do all nine VOBs, try your best to add as many things to the commands to minimize errors, loss of quality, I want a bit for bit copy, I do not want anything to be re-encoded, I do not want it to be upscaled or downscaled or anything except an exact copy. Give me a command but use the best program, not the fastest or simplest but the one with highest probability of having the least amount of data loss, errors, etc. I do not care about how long it takes or how hard. But I just want one command I can enter into Terminal to turn nine MKVs into one MKV to be an exact copy without re-encoding and without upscaling or downscaling or losing data or anything else. It made a 4.4 GB video but there were playback glitches where it jumps around with the timestamps which the entire video appears to say it's like 52 hours long but is really only like an hour or two, so the video jumps around on the play menu or bottom scroll in VLC. To be clear, mkvmerge was the program I used in Terminal which resulted in the playback glitch. I am now copying another DVD, I used Ddrescue and Ffmeg to copy 9 VOBs into 9 MKVs like before. Now, I'm onto step three like before. But last time, what you gave me resulted in a play glitch. After that, you gave me a command to fix the glitch which turned the 52-hours into 2 hours, it appeared to have worked, I was able to play that video. But now with this next DVD, I want you to give me a Terminal command using mkmerge or whatever command and software is the best regardless of how slow or hard or anything. I just care about results, I want to minimize quality loss in the videos to turn the nine MKVs into one MKV. Find me the best way to do this while maximizing quality. I want a direct copy, no re-encoding, no upscaling, no downscaling. Okay, I did your command, it created a 2 hour long video but with the audio was not synced. Wait. I just discovered problems with step 2. I copied the DVD with Ddrescue in step 1, it said 0% errors. In step 2, I saw no audio sync issues in the 9 MKVs but MKV 5 and MKV 9 had playback glitches where it appeared as if each of those two videos were like hours long but were around 13 minutes each same as the other 7 videos. Give me a way to fix this glitch. No, that failed too. Try to see if the audio sync issues I found in step 3 is related to the timestamp issues like with MKV 5. If it is related, I may want to try to fix step 2 by fixing MKV 5 and 9. But perhaps, there is a way to do step 3 with the right commands to dodge and fix all problems from step 2. New plan. I extracted the ISO on my computer which created the dvd folder which mirrors the exact structure of the DVD with the 9 VOBs inside with the same incorrect timestamps found in the DVD itself but I didn't see audio sync issues. I do not know if trying to convert VOBs into MKVs from a folder might be different than from an ISO. I don't know how to minimize audio sync issues. No. Grok did the same mistakes. Grok is getting worse. Grok made two files per VOB. The first with timestamps issues and the second with no audio, that is for each of the nine VOBs. I did step 2, that created 9 MKVs at around 13 minutes each, the timestamps reflected that, the audio was okay at times but started getting more and more out of sync each video. Video 9 appeared to be more in sync than previous videos. First 4 videos or less were sort of in sync but it started getting more out of sync per video. And there were video defects meaning the video quality got worse in many of the nine videos regarding frames, pixels, artifacts. I blame the video decline on Mencoder. It seems Handbrake can fix these problems. No. Stop trying Handbrake. I did not say I wanted to do Handbrake. I said the GUI version did better in the past. But it has to re-encode. I am trying to find a way to do this without re-encoding. I am looking for the best way. Your job is to find the best way but you usually find the wrong way. I might have done step 2 or something, it might have been the commands you gave but I forget. But then I opened up the GUI version of Mkvtoolnix to copy dvd002_attic1_fixed.mkv to dvd002_attic9_fixed.mkv into create AGAIN.mkv. So, dvd002_attic9_fixed.mkv was created today at 02:09 AM, it's 02:21 AM. So, it is likely created with the last command you gave me. So, Mkvtoolnix created one Mkv file named AGAIN.mkv. I did not see audio sync issues but there are timestamp issues. Give me a terminal command to fix the timestamp issues in the video. No. Did not work. Grok already made these mistakes before. Grok should backwards or reverse-engineer how DVD players and computers can play the DVDs with the audio syncing with the video. Find a way to copy the sync. It should not be rocket science because video players can do it. Dishes. Up past midnight working on the Attic videos. Food log: Breakfast: coffee, 06:00 AM. Orange, grapes, 11:20 AM. Lunch: beans meat corn tomatoes soup with salsa, 04:01 PM. Dinner: more of the lunch soup was great and also homemade jam stuff mom made which was amazing on her homemade pumpkin bread or some kind of sweet bread, 08:30 PM. Milk.

How to stop election fraud, call it identity theft

"Sheriff, I'm a victim of identity theft." Don't talk about election fraud. Below, I've included a 39-step guide on what to do if they tell you that you already voted on election day which is on Tuesday, the 5th day of November of 2024. Statistically this will likely happen to you even if you didn't already vote. There is a high probability this will happen because it already happened thousands of times in 2020 and 2022 in states like California.

Outline
Here is an outline of what you can do:

  1. Request for an absentee ballot to be sent to you by mail but don't open it
  2. Vote in person on election day, don't show them your absentee ballot
  3. If they say you already voted, contact your sheriff
  4. Have your sheriff come to document identity theft
  5. Don't say election fraud at a polling location, say it's a retail place
  6. Show your sheriff your absentee ballot but don't surrender it
  7. Vote in person via a provisional ballot

Let me provide more details as follows. Request an absentee mail-in ballot. Don't open it. Try to vote on election day. But if they say you already voted even when you haven't, contact your sheriff. Don't call 911. Say it's a non-emergency. Say you witnessed identity theft at a retail location. Don't say you're at a ballot location. Request the sheriff to come. Tell the sheriff your story. Have the sheriff ask the staff who will repeat that you already voted even as you didn't. After that, pull out your unopened absentee ballot to show the sheriff but then keep that ballot as by law it's your property and you don't have to surrender it. Your sheriff has the power to open up a proper investigation on your identity theft and seize ballot boxes.

Also, they can give you a provisional ballot so you can vote in person. But without the help of the sheriff, they're not going to count your provisional ballot but will instead just count the fake absentee ballot vote which didn't actually come from you as you didn't already vote even if they said you already voted. So, vote in person on election day via a provisional ballot if they say you already voted even as you haven't already voted. Make sure your sheriff knows you were a victim of identity theft.

Do not say voting fraud or election theft or anything political like that. Just say identity theft because it was identity theft. And keep your unopened absentee mail-in ballot as evidence of the crime of identity theft which they committed against you. Scroll down to see these 39 steps in more details below as follows. Share this with everyone you know, and as Elon Musk of Twitter X said, with everyone you don't know as well.

How can Americans fight absentee/mail-in ballot fraud?

1. Request for an absentee mail-in ballot

No matter who you are, this article is for you, whether you're voting for Donald John Trump, Joe Biden, Michelle Obama of Barack Obama, Oatmeal Joey Arnold, Kamala Harris or anybody else. This may even apply if you're not even voting at all because you may find out they voted in your name even as you don't even vote at all. They may have stolen your identity by forging your name on ballots to pretend you voted when really you didn't. This affects red and blue states. And remember that blue states are only blue in a few of the largest cities as the countryside is red.

2. Don't open your absentee ballot

Do not open it when it comes in the mail, do not tamper with it. Make sure you keep the envelope unopened. Make sure you don't remove postal stamps if there are any off the exterior of the envelope. You want to preserve it in the same condition you received it in. Hold onto it.

3. Don't open others either

If you received a ballot but didn't request one, don't open that either. Keep everything version that is sent to you. This is your evidence.

4. Vote in person on election day

Vote in person on election day which is Tuesday, the 5th day of November of 2024 (that is this current year right now).

5. Bring your unopened absentee ballot

Bring with you your unopened absentee ballot but vote in person at a voting location.

6. They might say you already voted

When you try to vote in person, then they might say sorry you already voted even if you have not yet voted. Do not panic as they're simply relaying to you what they're being told. You know you haven't voted (assuming if you haven't voted) but they only know what they see on computers or wherever they get their information from. There is a high statistical probability they'll say you already voted since this has happened a lot in 2020 and 2022 in states like California in the United States of America (USA).

7. Don't bitch

Don't whine, complain, yell, panic, go crazy. Stay calm. Don't get mad as this is not a personal attack against you personally. Stay reserved and focused. Don't say words like fraud and stuff.

8. Say, "Can you repeat that to me?"

They'll say it again that you already voted even when you haven't.

9. Request for a provisional ballot

They'll give you a provisional ballot form you can fill out which lets you vote and it means they might investigate it. Well, actually, they'll count the mail-in ballot and not count the provisional ballot as it might be hard to know whether or not you already voted by mail or not. So they'll just count the absentee mail-in ballot even if it was not sent from you. Like even if you didn't vote by mail, they'll count the ballot they received which came by mail in your name.

10. Ask for the supervisor

As they hand you the provisional ballot, calmly ask for the supervisor to confirm that the computer system shows you already voted.

11. Ask the supervisor to double check

Let the supervisor know you did not already vote by mail. Ask the supervisor to double check everything.

12. The supervisor will

The supervisor will check and confirm that you already voted even tho you actually didn't. The supervisor will tell you the same thing the other staff already said, that you already voted even as you didn't because they're only as good as the data they're given. And the data may say you already voted even as you didn't.

13. Step aside

Hold onto the provisional ballot and step aside.

14. Call your sheriff

Call your sheriff or a non-emergency line to your local sheriff department.

15. Do NOT call 911

Remember to NOT call 911.

16. Don't call cops

Do not call regular cops or police, you want to contact your sheriff.

17. Say it's NOT an emergency

When you call for the sheriff, say it's NOT an emergency.

18. Report identity theft

Tell your sheriff you need to report identity theft, tell the sheriff you are a victim of identity theft but it's unique.

19. At a retail place

Tell your sheriff you are standing at a retail place.

20. Not a ballot place

Do not tell your sheriff you're at a voting place. It may technically be a retail place even if it's called a voting location. Do not tell your sheriff you're at a polling place.

21. You witnessed identity theft

Tell your sheriff you watched the identity theft happen right in front of and before your very eyes in person in real life (IRL) and that you are still at that retail location where the identity theft occurred.

22. Ask for a dispatch

Say you need a deputy dispatched or sent to where you are to deal with the identity theft.

23. Don't say anything political or crazy

Remember to tell them your location is retail and not a polling place. You want to make sure the sheriff department know over the phone that you actually watched somebody steal your identity. It was an act of identity theft. Someone has stolen your identity. Don't talk about election meddling, voter fraud, stop the steal, election theft, voting machines, China, Dominion, Mike Lindell's My Pillow, Donald Trump, Infowars's Alex Jones, Roseanne Barr, Tim Pool's Timcast, or other people and things. Just say identity theft because it was identity theft. It's that simple. It's not a conspiracy theory.

24. Wait

Wait for the sheriff to show up.

25. Tell the sheriff your story

The sheriff will find you, tell the sheriff your story that they said you already voted even when you didn't.

26. The sheriff will ask the staff

The sheriff will ask the staff and supervisor if you voted already or not.

27. The staff will confirm

The staff and supervisor will tell the sheriff what they already told you before that you already voted even as you didn't.

28. Pull out your absentee ballot

After that, pull out your absentee mail-in ballot and show it to your sheriff as evidence you didn't already vote yet.

29. Tell the sheriff what you are holding

Tell the sheriff you are holding your mail-in ballot.

30. That it's unopened

Tell the sheriff your ballot was not even opened, still in the original envelope it came in, it was unopened, it was not tampered with at all.

31. That you're a VICTIM of identity theft

Tell your sheriff you were a victim of identity theft as somebody voted in your name.

32. Demand a report

Tell your sheriff you demand a report right now on the spot, at the scene of the crime for the books, for the record.

33. Don't surrender it

Do not surrender your absentee ballot, you do not have to give anybody your ballot as it's your property. Keep it. Hold onto your ballot. You're NOT required by law to surrender your absentee ballot.

34. Keep it

Say you're keeping your unopened absentee ballot as evidence your identity was stolen.

35. This empowers an investigation

This empowers your sheriff to open up an investigation.

36. And the power to seize ballot boxes

This empowers your sheriff to seize ballot boxes.

37. And proper investigation

This empowers the right type of investigation.

38. Vote in person via a provisional ballot

Submit your provisional ballot as you're voting in person and keep your unopened absentee ballot as evidence.

39. Make sure your sheriff is investigating

Make sure your sheriff investigates the identity theft.

Conclusion

Summary of what you can do as follows:

  1. Request for an absentee ballot but don't open it
  2. Vote in person on election day

Dear Gemini
I want a universal Bill that can work with any CD or DVD. On one hand, it is hard if it is a perfect disc, I would want Scan Mode World 1 Level 1 to be a Free-Range that could let a perfect disc be copied as fast as possible, you are free to either rewrite level 1 or consider a world 0 or a level 0 or a mechanism for trying to rescue perfect discs. But if a disc turns out to be not fully perfect, then it would be nice if Bill can then move to other levels to continue. You wrote, "In Step 8, Bill is hardcoded to --size=150MiB. This means even on a perfect disc, Bill stops every 150MB to update the UI." I do not know about step 8, I would only want this step 8 if it helps Bill remain universal. For number two, you wrote, "Logic & Structural Flaws" regarding the Ghost Target, but the concept of the Leapfrog is to jump from the drive's firmware cops to prevent lockup. I wanted Bill to only jump to prevent firmware problems. I would love it if Bill could just rescue all the bytes until Bill runs into a problem, I've already told Gemini this thousands of times for years. You wrote, "If there is even 1 byte marked as untried, Bill will stay in Scan Mode for 100 consecutive stalls." Bill should just read the map file to know where to go. Bill should not jump to random places. Bill can find a list of places where he needs to go. IN the summary at the end, you wrote, "Increase --size from 150MiB to 4GiB." But I don't ever remember telling you I wanted a 150 MiB limit. For that first part, whether you call it level 0, a test run, or whatever, I would recommend no limit or a 10 GB limit as discs are under 10 GB and often under 5 GB for normal DVDs. Disabling the Leapfrog is only good if Bill can always do better without it. I would consider Bill turning Leapfrog on and off based on what is needed. If Bill can do better without Leapfrog, then write me a better system that can deal with the drive's 6-second firmware police problem as most of my discs have problems. So, I don't really need to add something for perfect discs but I still want to add a level 0 thing to see if it is possible. I begged Gemini to be as fast as possible for months. I don't know why Gemini has the 150 MB chunks thing. I prefer speed at the beginning to get all the easier bytes off any disc. Please try to increase the efficiency of Bill to attempt to speed rescue as much as possible before slowing down. Even an allegedly perfect DVD might have a secret scratch near the end which means Bill should be ready for it. But if that scratch is 99% into the disc, then it would be cool if Bill could rescue at record speeds until it gets to that scratch. I only recommend jumping, skipping, hopping, leapfrogging, to get around scratches and problems. At the very end, skipping should be disabled to capture the final bytes. One challenge is if Bill ends up jumping to or running off to places he has been to before in like loops or what not. Gemini already told me that --max-error-rate=1 is better for my hardware than --timeout=6s. Amnesia Gemini doesn't know how many tests that Smarter Gemini had me run to see this. The problem is the hardware's 6-second firmware police which I already talked to Gemini about for weeks, but you are Amnesia Gemini, you do not have access to Smarter Gemini words of wisdom that he would give me thousands of times for weeks. Sucks to be you. You wrote, "Small Cluster Size: Reduce -c to something like 32 or 64. Large clusters take longer to read and are more likely to trigger the timeout." I prefer cluster sizes to be maximum size in level 1 (and maybe level 0 too if applicable). I prefer if cluster sizes decrease per level. Study the output below but then ask yourself if that looked like optimal settings for level 0. You told me before that level 0 was going to be designed for a perfect disc where there should not be a minimum read rate flag set and possibly other things too. You were the one who wrote level 0. But with amnesia, maybe you forgot what you told me about optimal settings for a perfect disc. I thought that was intention for level 0. Wrong. The one second timeout was added after I ran into many problems for months. Amnesia Gemini has no access to thousands of sessions I had with Smart Gemini for months. We talked about it. So, you are in the dark.

06:31 PM
Write me the best command with the least amount of words that can describe all of this so that I can tell Gemini to include it in Bill disc scripts. I would probably write the following to Gemini: make sure Bill run Coffee 1, let's define Coffee 1 as the following: make sure Bill runs sg_reset (and blockdev --flushbufs) when needed, Bill should run drop_caches (to clear system memory via sync && echo 3 | sudo tee /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches > /dev/null) when needed, Bill should use sleep 2 (so firmware can finish rebooting and so lasers can settle) for a hardware sync barrier, that is as it relates to Ddrescue seeking/read attempts, it is recommended that Bill doesn't Coffee 1 run between every activity like calculating math or writing to the .omni file but instead Coffee 1 give the disc drive a 2-second deep breath before it goes into bad sector quicksand to rescue remaining bytes.

09:13 PM
Above, I said non-clear. You replied with clear. That is pretty bad. What a bad AI you are. I tell you non-clear a thousand times each day. Each time you say oh you mean clear? And I reply with no I mean non-clear. And then you say oh you mean clear. No. Stop it.

Welcome to my daily blog, my name is Oatmeal Joey Arnold, follow me on social media and on all the websites at Joeyarnoldvn or else. Wait, was that a threat? No way. I'm joking. But that's the thing about me, I'm a nerd stuck in the body of an athlete, born in 1985 in Oregon, been online since like 1995 (or longer) meaning I've been on the world wide web the past 30+ years uploading over 30K+ videos, we're talking thousands of hours of worth of content (I have millions of things online, literally), most of my content is terrible which is weird because I'm a perfectionist who would probably prefer only sharing my best stuff on the Internet. Click here for more information. Quick disclaimer, I sometimes like rant, I speak often from the top of my head opinions, feelings, random thoughts, I often don't even spell check, fact check, or look at what I've been posting on hundreds of websites and apps for decades now. But as I get older, I do try to be more careful as I try to summarize my life, my autobiography, to correct the record as I try to tell my side of the story to combat the Oatmeal Fake News that my lolcow trolls spam the Internet with as they fool people into believing the lies they tell about me. Not saying you should watch my videos. But if they can lie about me, they can lie about you. But I sometimes trolled my trolls to show the world how easy it is to fool trolls who fell for the lies I put out there. Most of what I try to do in my life probably fails big time you might say but I was at least able to scam my trolls a few times over the years. I sometimes utilize sarcasm, hyperbole, satire, comedy, absurdity, Devil's advocate, trolling, scamming, click baiting, out of context stuff, irony, etc. But I often wouldn't tell people when I was trolling or not trolling. If you studied me, you could eventually figure it out. But most of my trolls are too lazy to research beyond the tip of the iceberg which led to my trolls repeating lies they about me which would only take a second to debunk. I felt like I had more trolls at times than actual fans or friends. For more info, questions, feedback, join my Discord servers. I have more to say but I will continue writing some of this stuff other places as usual. Because I write many books worth of content all of my life. You can send your artificial intelligence or AI to give you outlines of my content and what not. But you have to always remind the AI that I've had hundreds to thousands of different accounts, channels, pages, groups, sock puppet alt accounts, personas, parodies, profiles, communities, entities, and so on and so forth, ask me about all of that if you dare. Road trip past Union along the water to a park by the water, we walked around, I took videos and photos. Mom took photos as usual. Got home after like 1 PM or 2 PM. Organized in the yard shed, washed shelves and things that were in there on the yard, split firewood for a second with my new ax Larry got me a few years ago, put a tarp over the firewood as it out on the third row on the extended backyard covered patio we build some years ago, washed the car and truck again as it had like pollen or sap or something blown onto it again, sunny. After that, talked to mom about the need to renew stickers for vehicles. Mail. Lunch: 04:03 PM. Got a sticker for the car. Dinner: I forget. Wood stove. Dishes. Normal things. DVD work a lot as usual into Tuesday. Food log: Breakfast: orange, coffee, oatmeal, 10:00 AM. Lunch: soup, 04:03 PM. Dinner: I forget, ginger bread, soup etc. Tea.

Dear Gemini
Bill works. Please do not break Bill as it works. But make Bill better. Expand Bill. For Scan Mode, for the first pass, Bill must try to quickly scan through all the bytes but without trimming (-N) or scraping (-n). Always use --idirect (which is long-hand for -d). I want you to make a better Bill without breaking Bill. I think you should include at least 3 levels for cluster sizes being the highest, a medium, and the lowest would be -c 1 meaning a cluster size of 1. The largest cluster size could be -c 1Ki or -c 512. In the past, I've suggested 4 modes for scanning, trimming, scraping, and crazy. For Scan Mode, you could try to create worlds and levels like you did in previous scripts and/or you may want to consider a variety of options including how you could add a Clusters counter in the output that might say high, medium, and low for example or better yet it should just say the number. If it is the lowest cluster size, the counter should say 1. So, perhaps instead of levels and worlds, Bill might be better to switch between switches. The Clusters counter could be a switch that could by default be set to the highest biggest number. Something could trigger the switch to go to the medium size and then to the smallest size. One way to trigger switches or settings would be levels and worlds or there might be other ways to do it. Another switch could be minimum speed rate which by default should start at 30M as that is the highest/biggest/fastest. Other switches could deal with skipping, jumping, teleporting, to different places to run from firmware cops. You are free to design Bill as you like to best do everything I want it to do. Bill needs to start by default at the highest settings for level 1 of world 1 of the Scan Mode (assuming you decide to keep the level system for Bill and/or you could try hybrid approaches, like a combination of things). The main goal of the first pass is to try to scan every byte in under an hour no matter how many scratches and other issues. Of course for some discs, Bill may not be able to rescue many bytes during a first pass. Sometimes, it can take me more than ten hours just to do a first pass. The first goal must be to try to hop around as fast as possible to at least scan everything just one time without any retries or anything that might slow things down. Please do not use or -R or --reverse for reading bytes backwards until scraping and crazy modes. Or perhaps use -R in Scan Mode in Pass 2 because Gemini wrote to me, "After your first pass finishes, you would run a second pass without the -n and -N flags, and with -R, to try to narrow down the gaps from the other side." We talked about different options for --max-error-rate flags. You might want to include flags like --skip-size=50M,1G for example. I recommend --max-error-rate=1 for example. Do not use the --max-read-errors or -X flags. You're free to design levels and worlds like you did for thousands of scripts you already wrote for me and/or consider different switches, nobs, volume gates, counters, like I already mentioned the cluster thingy that can be triggered to go from high, medium, and low. It's like turning up and down the volume to things. Another nob is --min-read-rate=30M for high. You might want nobs relating to skipping, jumping, teleporting, etc. The output sometimes reads "Initial skip size: 128 sectors" and you could perhaps changing that sometimes or at least at the very end when there is already 99% rescued and perhaps even less than 128 sectors remaining to be rescued. Do your best to create the best Bill. The first pass should at least try to be the fastest. The goal is to at least try to do one quick pass through all the bytes in under an hour or even 5 minutes or as fast as possible before changing settings in additional passes. Watch otu for issues relating to the kernel, cache, firmware, hardware, software, etc. One of the challenges is to make sure Bill can try to pass all bytes whether they were already scanned, trimmed, scraped, bad sectors, or not yet scanned.

Scan Mode
Scan Mode must use the following flags for the first pass:
-u -n -N -d -O -t 1s --min-read-rate=30M --max-error-rate=1 --skip-size=50M,1G

Do not use -D or --odirect or --synchronous (Synchronous Writes) as I'm rescuing from discs but to an internal NVme SSD in my laptop, I think I would likely not benefit much from -D. I caution against trying -J or --verify-on-error but unless if it might be faster than other options but only if you think -J is the best flag option in situations where Bill might benefit more from -J. You may not want to mess with kernel buffer sizes settings, that might not work. I do not know if you should mess with --preallocate (-p) or not. You wrote "The "Teleport" Strategy: The script calculates a random $TARGET within the 4.6GB range every single round. This prevents the "sequential trap" where ddrescue gets stuck trying to work through a single massive scratch for hours." But the challenge is to try to pass through every byte without spending too much time or any time on accidentally or randomly hitting targets or addresses that were already rescued or recently looked at. I recommend that there are switches or nobs for skipping, jumping, teleporting, etc. If Mode 1 is like Scan Mode, and if Mode 2 or other modes are not like Scan Mode, then rename Mode 1 to Scan Mode. If I was you, I would rename a Pass to a World, that is if you were to name passes. In rare situations or at the end, you might need to sometimes use -R, see if you can find a way to best only use -R to really help but not all the time. And I do not want -R for the very first pass.

10:08 AM
Study this script. It works. But here is the output below. I want you to expand this Bill script. It would be nice if Bill tries to restart going through the all remaining bytes when Bill is started each time and every time Bill restarts a mode or when Bill changes modes. When I say remaining bytes, I mean all the bytes that were not yet rescued. For the first level of Scan Mode, I want Bill to try to quickly pass through all remaining bytes in less than five minutes or at least in less than an hour or at least to try to continue to scan and/or rescan and/or hop around and/or jump around and/or teleport around to each remaining address starting with the highest clusters sizes and the highest minimum read rate numbers and whatever else settings and flags needed to at least make level 1 of Scan Mode as fast as possible at just scanning or reading forward every remaining byte without trimming or scraping and no backwards reading and no retries. Bill needs to at least try each byte. Bill needs to at least try to scan through all remaining bytes at the very least. You broke the script when you changed it to -t 1s. I have verified this. I changed it back to -T 1s and that fixed it. Study this script because it is the script you wrote above but with one change. This tells me that Gemini has giant blindspots when a human like me can fix a problem that Gemini spent days failing to fix. Okay. You did not break Bill. That is good. You wrote, "Leap Logic: Introduced STALL_LEAP. If a round rescues 0 bytes, the next round adds 50MiB to the --input-position. If it fails again, it adds 100MiB, and so on." But Bill seems to say that it is rescuing but then the total stays the same.

02:19 PM
Notice how Bill did not start at level 1 when I started Bill. Depending on how smart Bill is, it might be okay if Bill continues where Bill left off. If Bill left off at level 2, it might be best to continue on say level 2 for example assuming that Bill actually ran through every byte with the highest fastest biggest greatest strongest settings and flags and everything with level 1 of the Scan Mode. I don't know if Bill did or not. Currently, Bill is at level 2, Bill might have switched to level 2 prematurely if Bill did not at least tried to pass through or run through or jump to each byte via the highest possible settings in level 1. If Bill was extremely smart to know it would be faster to go to level 2 in order to rescue all the bytes faster than level 1 might, that would be amazing. But Gemini would have to write very sophisticated code to get Bill to that level of sophistication. You have three options. First, I prefer Bill starts at level 1 of the Scan Mode when a new session starts, that is when Bill is started, then Bill could quickly run through all remaining bytes in under five minutes if the disc is perfect with no scratches or under an hour or maybe longer but as fast as possible where Bill tries to quickly scan or rescan through all remaining bytes jumping when Bill has to in order to go through all remaining bytes without getting stuck in loops where it gets stuck unable to run through all the bytes. It can be easiest to write code where Bill tries to rest the map when starting a session, a mode, or when switching modes. Second option would be to make Bill so smart as to know which modes, worlds, levels, etc, to switch to immediately and/or all the time and/or to continue where Bill left off whether Bill is continuing or restarting sessions or whatever. But that requires very sophisticated codes which I have been trying to get Gemini to write for months but Gemini usually fails which is why I prefer the first option. Third option would be a hybrid where Bill defaults to the first option but sometimes might try to be smart enough to know what is best for the particular disc at hand. Third option is probably not as hard to write as the second option but many things can still go wrong which might break Bill. Choose which one to try to write into Bill but please try not to break Bill and I think the first option is the easiest of three to write and less likely to break Bill or cause other issues. I heard and saw activity from the disc drive, it looks good. Study the output. Study the code you wrote above. I prefer that level 1 of World 1 of the Scan Mode has the highest settings possible that might work. I prefer having as many flags and settings and things that might help. See if the -min-read-rate=30M flag is active for that first level because I want to try to go as fast as possible. Bill should try to run through or jump to all or as many remaining not-rescued bytes in that first level as fast and as much as possible without breaking Bill. Make sure Bill can at least try to run around to as many easy spots first as possible. Bill should always start with telescope related settings before switching to microscope settings later on but the microscope should be delayed as long as possible until it is clear that the microscope settings will most likely save Bill time towards rescuing all the bytes. Expand Bill. But the Microscope is a term that I talked to Gemini about thousands of times for months. Gemini has Super Dory Nemo Amnesia like Drew Barrymore in the Adam Sandler Fifty First Dates. Gemini already wrote thousands of scripts for me for discs. The Telescope to Microscope Tactic is all about trying the largest fastest strongest biggest greatest better settings first and to remain in those settings for as long as possible. But you are free to redesign scripts as long as you are trying to help Bill reach the main objective at the fastest speeds. Bill should at least have four main modes being Scan Mode, Trim Mode, Scrape Mode, Crazy Mode. Bill can have different worlds and levels. Each level can be infinite rounds. Each round can be infinite seconds long. When I say telescope, I simply mean the highest settings with the intent to try to rescue all bytes under five minutes. But as a last resort after everything fails a few times, Bill should gradually start switching to lower settings. When I say microscope, I simply mean lower settings gradually step by step as Bill should be designed to try lower settings and different settings after Bil exhausted all other options and settings and especially all the higher and highest settings before eventually slowly and gradually switching to lower and smaller settings but not until there are no other options remaining after a long time of trying everything else. It must be gradual, step by step. Expand Bill. But each mode should have 10 worlds. Each world should have 10 levels. Each level can have infinite rounds. Each round can be infinite seconds long. Try to make each level different. When Bill gets to the end of the final level of the final world of a mode, then Bill should loop back to the first level of the first world of that mode. Bill should only switch modes when there are no other options when it is better or especially if levels and worlds are stalling each time like ten times in a row with no new bytes rescued. But Bill should generally by default not switch from Scan Mode to other modes until at least all remaining bytes are at least looked at quickly one time as Bill must try to run through and jump to every single byte first before feeling the urge to different modes. Bill should try to run through levels and worlds in modes for as long as possible before feeling the mode is too dry to be worth the time. That is why I recommend 100 round stalls before switching levels, ten consecutive level stalls before moving to the next world. Loop from the last world to the first world of a mode. But if Bill stalls for ten consecutive worlds in a row, then switch to another mode. Modes can loop too where Bill could switch from Crazy Mode back to Scan Mode and loop around like that or Bill can switch back and forth as Bill pleases after getting to the end of Crazy Mode. Okay. Good. Bill works. Study output below. Bring back the FLAGS: ddrescue operations ($OPTS) at the bottom under the target and silence counters in the scrolling output. Check Bill to see if each level is unique. Ten levels per ten worlds times four modes means 400 levels, each level should be different. I recommend not doing the read bytes backwards until the crazy modes. Make sure levels gradually get harder step by step from the highest biggest fastest greatest settings and flags and options to lower settings gradually and step by step through the 400 levels. Make sure Bill starts with the fastest options in earlier levels before transitioning to slower options slowly. Okay. Good. Bill works. Gemini did it. Study your code above for Bill and the output below. I recommend that Bill resets the map at the beginning of each mode. I prefer Bill restarts level 1 of world 1 of his current mode when Bill is started, unless if you have a better system. If every byte was at least scanned in the last 24 hours, perhaps Bill does not have to always reset to rescan all remaining bytes until Bill switches to another mode. But you would have to write sophisticated code to make that work or it is probably safer to just reset back to level 1 world 1 of the current mode at the beginning of a session when Bill is started, I prefer that option if you can't write a super sophisticated script that is more complex than that. Make sure each level has suitable settings, flags, jumping if needed, minimum read speeds, etc. I recommend that level 1 world 1 of each mode includes some flags like --max-error-rate=1 and -T 1s. All rounds and levels of all modes should probably always have flags like --idirect. Watch out for the drive's firmware that could lock up after six seconds of errors. Watch out for cache problems and other problems. Make sure each of the 400 levels have suitable flags and settings as is needed depending on all the variables of what is needed for each level. Most or all levels of Scan Mode should have suitable settings and flags like -n -N -O -u and whatever that is best depending on the level, world, mode. Okay. Good. Gemini did it. Bill works. Expand Bill. Study the code above and the output below. Make sure level 1 of world 1 of Scan Mode has maximum settings, the highest settings, for maximum speeds, the biggest, baddest, strongest, greatest, widest, fastest settings, flags, options, etc. For example, at least the first level should have the --min-read-rate=30M flag for maximum speeds. Make sure to include suitable flags depending on the level. Double check Bill and all the levels and all the things.

Dear Gemini
Eventually, the drive falls asleep. Bill needs to wake the drive up every ten minutes or at least every hour. Bill needs to check sometimes. Bill should have multiple ways of checking. Every round and level of world 1 of Scan Mode should use the --min-read-rate=30M flag. Other worlds should have smaller --min-read-rate flags. I recommend jumping flags decrease per mode, world, and/or level. Try to make each of the 400 levels different, you may want the clusters sizes to go from biggest to smallest from level 1 to level 10 for each world of each mode, unless if that might not be the best idea for each level, world, or mode. The --retrim should generally by default only be used for level 1 of world 1 of the Trim Mode. If there are flags to rescrape, put that in level 1 of world 1 of the Scrape Mode. Design each of the 400 levels to be unique. Scan Mode levels should be mostly or only scan-related flags starting with the highest fastest biggest settings first. Keep most or all of the flags and settings theme related. For Scan Mode, the theme is scanning with the idea of trying to scan through all bytes as fast as possible. Trim Mode has the trim theme like the Scan Mode but with trying to trim everything. Scrape Mode has scrape theme. Crazy Mode has the crazy theme. Each level should escalate but slowly as you have 400 levels through 4 modes and 40 worlds. Try to make sure the flags and relevant to each level according to what is needed for each level. World 1 of Scan Mode should have maximum minimum read rate of 30M, world 2 should be 20M, each world can lower the rate more, world 10 of Scan Mode should have no minimum read rate. If applicable, this read rate minimum could be applied to all four modes if you think it translates or find your own system. For levels 1 to 10 for each world in Scan Mode, you might want to rotate from largest to smallest cluster sizes and jumping/leaping/skipping/teleporting sizes, that is for Scan Mode and maybe some or all of the other modes if they translate or find a way to create a system that works the most with the themes of each mode. Please no retries in scan mode at all. Perhaps forwards/backwards reading for the tenth world of every mode.

In the output below, it reads "STALLS: R:690/100 | L:18/10" but 100 rounds must switch Bill to the next level. At level 10, switch back to level 1 of the current world. But switch worlds after 10 level stalls. A stall is when no byte is rescued per stall. Bring back the world stalls W:10/10. After ten consecutive world stalls, switch modes. All stalls must be consecutive before switching to the next level, world, or mode. When you get to the final level, world, or mode, switch back to the first one and continue in an endless loop. Each level can have infinite rounds. Each round can be infinite seconds long. Study output below. When Bill is started, Bill should normally start back at level 1. Stalls in output reads "STALLS: R:6/100 | L:/10 | W:/10" but should read as "STALLS: R:0/100 | L:0/10 | W:0/10" and make sure consecutive stalls will progress Bill to the next thing, round stalls progress Bill to the next level, level stalls to the next world, and then finally to the next mode which then results in a loop. When not consecutive stalls, reset counter. Fix other mistakes if there are any.

I want a live byte counter at the bottom of the scrolling non-clear Ddrescue live activity monitor output so I can total rescued bytes in actual bytes and not in KB or MB or GB but in B or bytes only. Write it out in full in bytes and not KB, MB, GB, etc.

Fix mistakes you see in the output below.

At the beginning of level 1 of each world, Bill should reset in order to attempt to progress all remaining non-rescued bytes. Each of the four modes must try to start with trying to go through all non-rescued bytes at least during level 1 of world 1 of each mode. Sometimes, it seems Bill fails to reset the map in order to fully do this each time. Sometimes, it seems Bill can get stuck. For example, if Bill runs through all non-tried bytes, will Bill just loop with nothing to do trying to find more non-tried bytes? Bill must be able to adapt no matter which round, level, world, or mode that Bill is in. If Bill does not adapt, then at least the stall counters could eventually help move Bill to different levels, worlds, modes. But it would be nice to see Bill always try to process bytes no matter where Bill might be in the 400 level game. Make sure Bill can fully reset the map at the beginning of level 1 for each mode. Make sure Bill can always find something to do no matter what, even if Bill runs out of the current task at hand. Like for example, if Bill scanned all the bytes, then Bill could rescan or move to the Trim Mode. By default, Bill should loop back to level 1 of the Scan Mode which would result in Bill rescanning everything. After looping all ten worlds ten times, Bill should switch to the next mode. If Bill ends up scanning all bytes by level 2 of world 3 of the Scan Mode, Bill should come up with something or perhaps Bill will just stall faster which would eventually result in looping back to level 1 and eventually maybe even to the next mode.

As the Energy Crisis globally escalates, so will the blame on Trump's America because of the Iran Dominoes. The America Gulf is competing against Iran's Hormuz Strait as Trump is talking about enforcing a blockade in Hormuz. This might eventually be good news many years from now but it's still a gamble as the world falls into a recession or worse due to delays.

Trump is trying to block Iran's Hormuz Strait, what's the worse that could happen?

05:43 PM
The problem is not Iran but the monsters running Israel, Trump must exit the Middle East because Global Great Reset.

05:45 PM
If Trump is MAGA then I'm 1776 Worldwide, Trump is on the wrong side of history to go against Alex Jones. I opposed Trump when Trump was not going against the Killer Covid Vaccines and now with the Iran Dominoes.

05:55 PM
I watched a video comparing when Trump showed up to a UFC fight in 2025 versus 2026, Trump is losing a lot of support over being a puppet of Israel in Iran. The problem is not really Iran. Pastors are being tricked into the fake news about the truth. I'm opposed to Forever Wars.

06:04 PM
MAGA didn't ride up on the Trump Train but rather Trump rode up the MAGA Train which Trump won't derail.
