While I was teaching English in Vietnam for five years to 2017, some of them said they favored South Vietnam.

Vietnam battled countries from 1940 to 1979, at least 15 different countries were involved, costing at least $9 trillion dollars and up to 7.8 million lives for all parties combined. When I say $9 trillion (or any of the other numbers below), I mean in today's (2026) value of the dollar right now.

The United States fought in Vietnam for up to 11 years costing up to $7 trillion and up to 3.5 million lives for all parties combined.

Even tho some Vietnamese supported America's war, North Vietnam ended up defeating South Vietnam with the Fall of Saigon in 1975 which is also refer to as Black April (Tháng Tư Đen) or Liberation Day (Ngày Giải Phóng).

Starting in 1975, hyper-inflation in Vietnam rose up to 800% until they started letting their farmers export rice again starting in 1986. In the 1990s, they started exporting coffee, cashews, clothes, shoes. In the 1800s, if you owned a buffalo, you were wealthy, the average Vietnamese probably made up to $800 USD annually. But starting around 1975, probably as low as $300. Today, it might be up to $14K USD if you include everything like real estate, property, anything of value.

I say all of that to say even tho some Iranians support the idea of America trying to save Iran, I want you to remember that some of the Vietnamese of South Vietnam supported the idea of America trying to free them from Ho Chi Minh.

In a way, you might say there is a North Iran and a South Iran in the same way we had two Vietnamese countries or another example would be Korea which America also fought.

The idea of trying to free countries from bad governments is out of this world.

But the reality of war is it it's generally more counterproductive than you'll ever know.

What really helped Vietnam was the free market starting in 1986 especially.

Countries fought Vietnam for 39 years from 1940 to 1979 but Vietnam didn't fall.

In the end, free markets, Christianity, and the Internet helped Vietnam become what it is today with $930 billion in total trade volume for 2025 (ranked in the top 15 globally).

In 1940, Vietnam had 23 million people. Yet, they battled countries for the next 39 years. After that, they survived their own dark ages for the next seven years. Now, Vietnam has over 100 million people and they're thriving economically.

In other words, countries were unable to defeat 23 million Vietnamese even after 39 years of fighting. Remember, America had a pretty good military back then and yet they still didn't stop those short little Asians. Yes, some of the Vietnamese even wanted America to defeat North Vietnam and yet the fighting continued for years and years.

Iran has a population of 93 million people, that's almost four times the size Vietnam was in 1940.

Some of these Iranians are Jihadists hiding in mountains with WMDs.

Trump is being pressured to continue fighting Iran forever and ever.

America spent 20+ years in Afghanistan replacing the Taliban with the Taliban. Why wouldn't Iran follow this same pattern? Trump replaced the leader of Iran with his son who is even worse, Trump murdered his wife, Trump was scammed into this war. Iran is not going to surrender any more than Vietnam would, we are in a very bad situation, Trump was scammed into attacking Iran. But as I get older, I do try to be more careful as I try to summarize my life, my autobiography, to correct the record as I try to tell my side of the story to combat the Oatmeal Fake News that my lolcow trolls spam the Internet with as they fool people into believing the lies they tell about me. Not saying you should watch my videos. But if they can lie about me, they can lie about you. But I sometimes trolled my trolls to show the world how easy it is to fool trolls who fell for the lies I put out there. Most of what I try to do in my life probably fails big time you might say but I was at least able to scam my trolls a few times over the years. I sometimes utilize sarcasm, hyperbole, satire, comedy, absurdity, Devil's advocate, trolling, scamming, click baiting, out of context stuff, irony, etc. But I often wouldn't tell people when I was trolling or not trolling. If you studied me, you could eventually figure it out. But most of my trolls are too lazy to research beyond the tip of the iceberg which led to my trolls repeating lies they about me which would only take a second to debunk. Try using different combinations of words in search engines for better results. Testdisk recovered around 2676 items at 200.9 MB. I find that odd as the disk is only around 100 MB. Now, make me the perfect .sh file that I use in Terminal to now copy other 100 MB iomega disks. I want a simple template I can use again and again for each disk via ddrescue. Afterwards, I can move the files to other folders. I prefer a map file and a log file if possible. Your sh file should have several rounds. First round should try to copy like 80% of the disk or a big amount as fast as possible without too many problems. Additional rounds can be slower. I would prefer multiple map and log files if possible for each round so I can revert back to an earlier map if one map gets corrupt. I prefer trying to get every bit copied if possible regardless of how long it might take. Keep everything from our conversations in mind when crafting this. Try to include as many rounds or different things as you can in your sh file to maximize probability of copying the most from each disk as much as possible. I went to bed at 05:10 AM. Woke up at 11:30 AM, mom is canning, she didn't make coffee which made me sad but maybe I drink too much daily and need a break. She was frustrated over like opening a jar of like soup or whatever she was doing but I think she figured it out while I grabbed a large jug of drinking water which I usually do weekly or monthly to keep in my room for my drinking water since like 2018 normally. Breakfast: 11:45 AM. Good. Thanks. Your sh file worked, I copied disks. Each disk copied probably all the files per disk. Now, I have a hard floppy TEACV0.0 TEACV0.0 (0200) model drive located at /dev/sde. I want to stick the hard floppy disks into this drive. Some of these disks are labelled as 1.44 MB in size. Don't make an sh file right now because I want to start with trying to copy with ddrescue or whatever works the best in the same way as we did with other disks earlier. Start with finding the best terminal command to try to copy this disk as fast as possible while not being too destructive, try to copy most of the disk to start with. This disk might be roughly 2002 or maybe older. 02:51 PM: If I had a bunch of good people in my Discord Servers, then I could ban all the demons who spam lies there. Usually only monsters go there which means there's no reason to even try to purge out the rats. Organized in my walk-in closet for a second. Mom said it was trying to snow, she said come out here into the living room as Rachel Ray or however you spell her name is in a sauna and stuff, I see snow falling at 03:09 PM. Lunch: 03:11 PM. Over 99.999999999% of the 10K+ people who joined these Discord Servers (as of 2024) probably don't even remember why they joined in the first place; it's sort of like looking at your contact list on your phone and seeing Bill while thinking who the fuck is Bill but then you're too fucking lazy to delete Bill off your goddamn phone because you're Billophobic. SNow gone by 05:00 PM when I was out there dumping coffee grounds and the metal compost bin into the by the grapes hole, it snowed probably for less than ten minutes is my guess two hours earlier like I said but didn't stick. Dishes. Dinner: 07:00 PM. Wood stove fire today. It started snowing after like 11:00 PM. Food log: Breakfast: water, scrambled eggs with bread crumbs, orange, 11:45 AM. Lunch: soup on bread crumbs, 03:11 PM. Dinner: more soup, was great, 07:00 PM.
