Climb Protocol
The Climb Protocol pushes Bill up one Climb-Level at a time. By default, Bill must begin on a base Climb-Level which is probably going to be "-c 128 -a 1M -T 20s -r0 --cpass=1 --no-trim --no-scrape -K 250MiB" assuming the flags have the highest probability of rescuing the most bytes the fastest. Max speed according to the MPH Protocol was -a 100M but Bill should probably never do 100M or only if Bill climbs there. But by default, Bill should probably start at -a 1M. Maybe in level 5, Bill can try to climb to -a 2M. But by default, Bill must not start at -a 100M. Bill must not begin with the "GEAR_CLUST_MEGA=131072" (THE VOLUME GEARBOX, The Cluster Protocol, line 132) which is -c 131072 as it is likely Bill cannot currently go above -c 2K. So, -c 131K is a crazy number. But just like with the MPH Protocol, Bill could try to climb step by step to higher cluster sizes but only one setting at a time. But that should be in higher worlds. The first world should probably not do that. Make sure Bill can start in a default base level or continue where Bill was. But currently, Bill is stuck in a -c 131K -a 100M level which is too high. Normally, Bill should continue in whatever levels Bill might be in and complete passes across multiple sessions but the -c 131K level is too high. Also, must only climb if Bill doubles his speed for five consecutive minutes. For example, if Bill tries to climb from -a 1M to -a 2M in a world 2 climbing level, then -a 2M must produce double the speed that -a 1M did before Bill can try -a 3M. Bill can gradually climb step by step. But -a 2M will probably not be better, so Bill could just go back to -a 1M. Dangerous because scratches and slow spots might slow Bill down sometimes. Bill needs to have base settings that have the highest probability of rescuing all the bytes the fastest, that was the purpose of the three Sonic levels.

Direct?
The Direct Protocol should turn on -d --idirect every other round if speeds are under -a 1M for ten consecutive minutes. If -d produces faster speeds (at least double the speed at 2X for ten consecutive minutes), stay with -d. Direct Protocol should be independent for any level, world, phase, mode, etc. Generally if under 1M, Bill might to turn -d on and off per round but then stick with whichever is faster. If -d is faster, keep it.

Timeout Protocol
The Timeout Protocol forces Bill to react per round. Gemini said the base timeout should be -T 18s as 18 seconds is a good starting point. I do not know if Gemini is right or wrong. But it is good to have a default starting point. If things are bad one round, the next round should probably be one second less. If things are good, perhaps increase the timeout by 1 second. Sometimes, Bill should reset to the base which you said should be -T 18s and that might be true. Also, you said that the -d --idirect related direct I/O flags to bypass kernels and stuff might then therefore allow the Timeout to extend. By default, increase Timeout if -d flags. Decrease if without -d. You might want to include a minimum and maximum for Timeout values, numbers. It is critical to check everything to see if the cops are freezing up the disc drive or other problems. Each round, The Timeout Protocol must react based on all the data from everywhere. Timeout should always go up or down per round based on any and all info collected from anywhere and everywhere. Look at maps, logs, Dmesg, etc. Collect the info and react. Timeout must have the best formulas for calculating what to do if things are good or bad. Generally, if good, extend Timeout. If bad, minimize Timeout. But if too long, that might be a problem sometimes for many reasons. If too short, that might be a problem for many reasons. Many variables to consider too like the -d flag and other flags and settings too.

Mario Protocol
The Mario Protocol must run all -K Jumping Flag decisions for Bill for any and all rounds, levels, worlds, phases, modes, etc. Most or all of the jumping should probably be done via the -K flag and not other flags or methods (like I usually do not like the -i flags for example). Mario must be independent of all rounds, etc. Mario must react between each round. By default, Mario should mostly only react per pass. In other words, being too reactive is problematic because Bill may run into scratches and slow spots randomly during a pass through all the remaining non-rescued bytes. Minimum jump must be 0 bytes meaning jumping should sometimes be disabled. Max jump could be 1 TB or a crazy number reserved for rare situations when Bill might be very stuck (but only as a last resort when all other options fail for dozens of rounds consecutively or something crazy where Bill tried everything else and everything else failed). Similar to the Timeout Protocol and other protocols, Mario must always search for the Goldilocks Settings. The default base jump should be big enough to jump over large scratches. Perhaps the faster the -a speeds, the larger the jumping possible. One challenge is as Bill gets too close to 100% rescued, it might be a problem if there are only a few bytes left to rescue, assuming it might be harder to jump over a smaller amount of the remaining bytes. There is also the "Initial skip size" which may or may not relate to the Mario Protocol. Mario must know when to jump and when not to jump. Mario must jump not too far or too little. Mario must make sure Bill can always complete full passes. Mario must make sure Bill does not get stuck on scratches, bad areas, bad sectors, slow reads, during the first like 80% rescued say for example. Mario must react between each round to all of the flags, conditions, results, consequences. Mario must be aware of the Dmesg, the map, the logs, the data, to best know what to do and when to do it. Mario should only do a 100 GiB Hail Mary as a last resort after stalling for like 20 consecutive rounds or something crazy but only after gradually escalating step by step to finally escalate to that. Also, Mario should generally decrease per pass but increase per fall. A pass is to read (run, probe) through all remaining non-rescued bytes. A fall can be scratches, slow reads, bad sectors, bad areas. The default should be that Mario jumps big enough to make sure Bill can go as fast as possible for the first pass. The jump needs to be big enough. After a pass, remaining bytes can be re-marked as untried and Mario could then jump a little smaller while Bill tries different things during a second pass. But sometimes, Mario wants increase jump size each round if need be. But generally, Mario wants to decrease jump size as Bill tries to rescue more bytes per full pass through all remaining bytes. Mario must make sure Bill can run around the entire disc trying to read all the bytes as fast as possible. My version accepts two jump sizes formatted like this: -K 10Gi,100Gi.

Tetris Protocol
The Tetris Protocol is the Cluster Protocol. Tetris must determine the cluster sizes for Bill each round. Tetris must be independent. Tetris must work for any and all rounds, levels, worlds, phases, modes, etc. The minimum cluster size is -c 1. In the past, I've said the max could be like -c 131K. However, that will probably rarely work. It might never work in most cases. You should keep 131K. But the default base for clusters should probably be the max that can work for my disc drive. Gemini has given me many different numbers for base and max for clusters like 2K, 4K, 8K, 16K. We can keep them for crazy situations but it seems anything above 2K may not work all the time or that is still open to debate. Tetris should react between each round. If Bill is accelerating, Tetris could increase cluster size. If not, Tetris might want to decrease. But Tetris should generally not react too much for the first 80% rescued or Tetris should only react if speeds drop below -a 2M for ten consecutive rounds. Sometimes, Gemini suggests that the max should be -c 64. Other times, Gemini suggests like 128 or 256 or sometimes higher. For the first five passes or first two hours, clusters should generally be starting at max. When I say max, I mean normal max like -c 64 to as high as 2K or 16K. Probably between 64 to like 512. But it is hard to say. If higher cluster sizes can maintain anything above -a 2M for consecutive minutes without stopping, then Tetris should generally hold. Tetris should be smart enough to know what to do and when to do it. Please do not automatically downgrade to -c 1 too quickly. Tetris should probably stay at -c 512, 256, 128, or 64, or whatever the larger sizes might be, for like the first five full passes and then gradually go down one size per full pass. I don't know if there are complex formulas that can determine the Goldilocks Settings for cluster sizes and other flags too. Too big and too small can be problems sometimes. Reacting too quickly or too slowly can be problematic too.

Mario Protocol
Mario must be aware. The closer to 100% Mario gets, the more reactive Mario can be when speeds are dropping below -a 2M. The closer to 100%, the faster Bill should react in general via all protocols. That includes even the Timeout Protocol, the Direct Protocol, the Tetris Protocol, and more. Each protocol need to evolve as Bill gets closer and closer to 100%. Each protocol must be independent to search for Goldilocks per round. Must get more and more aggressive as soon as speeds continue to drop for ten consecutive rounds after 80% rescued.

Sonic Protocol
The Sonic Protocol is the MPH Protocol. Sonic must be independent. Sonic must run Bill's -a speed flags. Sonic must start at a base speed that has the highest probability of rescuing discs from 0% to 100% rescued in under 5 minutes. All protocols and systems in Bill must be designed for max speed. But each CD and DVD might be different which is why finding Goldilocks Settings is hard. Sonic should become more reactive as Sonic gets closer and closer to 100% rescued. Between each round, Sonic must react. Each protocol should react. We've talked about crazy speeds like -a 100M which can still be in Bill as a crazy Hail Mary backup plan if Bill continues to stall for ten rounds in a row. My disc drive is rated at 16 MB/s. We've talked about many different speeds up to 30M or beyond. Anything above 10M is good. 20M is perfect. Anything above 2M is acceptable. I don't know how 0% rescued discs might react to different speeds which makes it hard to determine what to do. In general, I would want a super fast first pass using crazy fast settings to create a skim reading affect to better map out bad areas. But Sonic must be more and more aware as Sonic gets closer and closer to 100%. Sonic must work on all the rounds, levels, etc. Sonic must go faster or slower depending on variables.

Goldilocks Protocol
The main goal of the Goldilocks Protocols is Speed-Run. They have Nintendo Mario Speed-Run competitions online where people compete finding the fastest ways to beat the Mario video games. Bill is playing his own Speed-Run competition rap battle of history. Bill must try to beat the game in under five minutes via all the protocols and systems. That first round must be the last round, whether the disc is 0% or 99% rescued already. That first round must have the highest probability to rescue all the bytes. Bill must coordinate with Mario, Sonic, Tetris, Timeout, Jordan, Goldilocks, Housekeeping, and more. It is critical that Bill remains universal to work with any DVD or CD, both new and old discs alike. If Bill doesn't rescue all the bytes in the first round, then protocols must react in an attempt to rescue all the bytes in the second round or the third round or so on and so forth. But Bill should generally be less reactive as long as speeds are above an average of -a 2M. Each round can extend for hours. But please minimize on excessive stalling when possible. The closer to 100%, the more reactive Bill should be. Try to avoid Post-Scan Modes for as long as possible if possible when possible until maybe 99% if need be. But at the same time, it is all about whatever routes might be the fastest towards 100% rescued. Bill must play poker and chess in beating this game for each unique disc. But it is also a game of probability where you start with the settings that have the highest probability of doing the most damage (rescuing the most bytes).

Default v Reactive Protocol
Bill must first run default routes which might include fixed settings, rounds, levels, worlds, phases, modes, flags, speeds, clusters, timeouts, numbers, jumps, variables, options, etc. Eventually, Bill must become more and more reactive as time goes by. Each round perhaps or after like ten stalls or as Bill gets above 80% to 100% rescued. Bill must be engaging the Goldilocks Protocol but Bill must not react too quickly too early in the game. That is why Bill must have the best opening gambit in this speed-run chess poker game. Bill must have strong opening rounds that might rescue all the bytes in minutes or rounds. If not, then Bill can gradually become more and more reactive over time, per time, and as Bill moves closer to 100% rescued. As long as Bill is above -a 2M, Bill should be less reactive. Bill must wait long enough before stepping in too early. Reacting too early can be counterproductive.

Tiers: Rounds, Levels, Worlds, Phases, Modes.
Protocols must be Tier-Independent: each Protocol must run independent of the tiers: protocols include the following five main protocols: Mario -K, Sonic -a, Tetris -c, Timeout -T, Direct -d --idirect. Make sure at lease these five protocols are totally independent of tiers. In some ways, the protocols make the tiers more like empty boxes. Perhaps the tiers can guide and influence to protocols a little. But the protocols must be AI-Smart to have top opening gambit moves at first and then gradually transition towards chess moves per round. I want all the protocols to be as reactive as the Direct Protocol is. Protocols should generally reset to default values sometimes or as needed. But some or all of the Direct -d--idirect logic can be applied to protocols like Mario, Sonic, Tetris, Timeout, Goldilocks, Bill Jordan, and more. Maybe not totally the same as the -d protocol but I guess it depends. Default settings for flags should be designed for Speed-Runs where it might rescue all the bytes at the fastest speeds. But gradually like with the -d protocol, other protocols should sometimes toggle up and down looking for Goldilocks when speeds are under -a 2M. Tetris Default must be the highest most dependable proven cluster size which currently is -c 512. Perhaps it can do up to 16K. I even suggested 131K. Like with other protocols, try a higher tier setting but then revert to lower settings if the volume increase doesn't increase. All protocols should do this. Reset sometimes to the highest proven settings. When needed, toggle the flag settings up and down as needed looking for Goldilocks. Tetris is a tough one for example, watch out for ghost bytes stuck inside RAM, cache, kernels, cookies, CPU, GPU, hard drives, USB, buses, or wherever. If 8K or higher really can work on a perfect DVD to rescue potentially 4.7 GB of all the bytes in like 5 minutes record speeds, then 8K or higher could be the opening gambit move for Tetris for as long as it is above -a 2M on average during the last like ten minutes or something. In general, 2M should be the general rule for any and all of the protocols for the last like ten minutes. Protocols can have extended tool boxes with low to high settings. For example, Tetris can up to -c 131K. Sonic can have up to -a 100K. Mario up to -K 100 GiB. But Bill should only attempt to climb to these theoretical highs in rare situations but one step at a time. But it has to be proven that an extremely high setting is really rescuing bytes before trying even higher settings. But it could be ghosts or something. Must be incremental. Once it fails, start going back down again. Goldilocks could be -a 0 or -a 100M, you never know where Goldilocks is hiding but please gradual incremental one step at a time focusing mostly on what is the most effective, efficient, potent, productive.

2M Protocol
Bill must gradually become more aggressive trying different flag settings. The closer to 100% rescued Bill gets, the more impatient. Timeouts probably should be longer than 20 seconds sometimes. Protocols should become more aggressive each round as Bill gets closer to 100% rescued. The 2M Protocol demands Bill rides winning waves. When Bill is rescuing above -a 2M, Bill should lock it in. Bill must milk it. Bill must ride the wave. But Bill must work harder each stall. Each time Bill is below 2M, Bill must push all the protocols to try different things. If something is working, focus on that for as long and as often and as much as possible. When you stall, experiment. But you might be over a scratch or bad spot.

Welcome to my daily blog, my name is Oatmeal Joey Arnold, follow me on social media and on all the websites at Joeyarnoldvn or else. Wait, was that a threat? No way. I'm joking. But that's the thing about me, I'm a nerd stuck in the body of an athlete, born in 1985 in Oregon, been online since like 1995 (or longer) meaning I've been on the world wide web the past 30+ years uploading over 30K+ videos, we're talking thousands of hours of worth of content (I have millions of things online, literally), most of my content is terrible which is weird because I'm a perfectionist who would probably prefer only sharing my best stuff on the Internet. Click here for more information. Quick disclaimer, I sometimes like rant, I speak often from the top of my head opinions, feelings, random thoughts, I often don't even spell check, fact check, or look at what I've been posting on hundreds of websites and apps for decades now. But as I get older, I do try to be more careful as I try to summarize my life, my autobiography, to correct the record as I try to tell my side of the story to combat the Oatmeal Fake News that my lolcow trolls spam the Internet with as they fool people into believing the lies they tell about me. Not saying you should watch my videos. But if they can lie about me, they can lie about you. But I sometimes trolled my trolls to show the world how easy it is to fool trolls who fell for the lies I put out there. Most of what I try to do in my life probably fails big time you might say but I was at least able to scam my trolls a few times over the years. I sometimes utilize sarcasm, hyperbole, satire, comedy, absurdity, Devil's advocate, trolling, scamming, click baiting, out of context stuff, irony, etc. But I often wouldn't tell people when I was trolling or not trolling. If you studied me, you could eventually figure it out. But most of my trolls are too lazy to research beyond the tip of the iceberg which led to my trolls repeating lies they about me which would only take a second to debunk. I felt like I had more trolls at times than actual fans or friends. For more info, questions, feedback, join my Discord servers. I have more to say but I will continue writing some of this stuff other places as usual. Because I write many books worth of content all of my life. You can send your artificial intelligence or AI to give you outlines of my content and what not. How to stop election fraud, call it identity theft

"Sheriff, I'm a victim of identity theft." Don't talk about election fraud. Below, I've included a 39-step guide on what to do if they tell you that you already voted on election day which is on Tuesday, the 5th day of November of 2024. Statistically this will likely happen to you even if you didn't already vote. There is a high probability this will happen because it already happened thousands of times in 2020 and 2022 in states like California.

Outline
Here is an outline of what you can do:

  1. Request for an absentee ballot to be sent to you by mail but don't open it
  2. Vote in person on election day, don't show them your absentee ballot
  3. If they say you already voted, contact your sheriff
  4. Have your sheriff come to document identity theft
  5. Don't say election fraud at a polling location, say it's a retail place
  6. Show your sheriff your absentee ballot but don't surrender it
  7. Vote in person via a provisional ballot

Let me provide more details as follows. Request an absentee mail-in ballot. Don't open it. Try to vote on election day. But if they say you already voted even when you haven't, contact your sheriff. Don't call 911. Say it's a non-emergency. Say you witnessed identity theft at a retail location. Don't say you're at a ballot location. Request the sheriff to come. Tell the sheriff your story. Have the sheriff ask the staff who will repeat that you already voted even as you didn't. After that, pull out your unopened absentee ballot to show the sheriff but then keep that ballot as by law it's your property and you don't have to surrender it. Your sheriff has the power to open up a proper investigation on your identity theft and seize ballot boxes.

Also, they can give you a provisional ballot so you can vote in person. But without the help of the sheriff, they're not going to count your provisional ballot but will instead just count the fake absentee ballot vote which didn't actually come from you as you didn't already vote even if they said you already voted. So, vote in person on election day via a provisional ballot if they say you already voted even as you haven't already voted. Make sure your sheriff knows you were a victim of identity theft.

Do not say voting fraud or election theft or anything political like that. Just say identity theft because it was identity theft. And keep your unopened absentee mail-in ballot as evidence of the crime of identity theft which they committed against you. Scroll down to see these 39 steps in more details below as follows. Share this with everyone you know, and as Elon Musk of Twitter X said, with everyone you don't know as well.

How can Americans fight absentee/mail-in ballot fraud?

1. Request for an absentee mail-in ballot

No matter who you are, this article is for you, whether you're voting for Donald John Trump, Joe Biden, Michelle Obama of Barack Obama, Oatmeal Joey Arnold, Kamala Harris or anybody else. This may even apply if you're not even voting at all because you may find out they voted in your name even as you don't even vote at all. They may have stolen your identity by forging your name on ballots to pretend you voted when really you didn't. This affects red and blue states. And remember that blue states are only blue in a few of the largest cities as the countryside is red.

2. Don't open your absentee ballot

Do not open it when it comes in the mail, do not tamper with it. Make sure you keep the envelope unopened. Make sure you don't remove postal stamps if there are any off the exterior of the envelope. You want to preserve it in the same condition you received it in. Hold onto it.

3. Don't open others either

If you received a ballot but didn't request one, don't open that either. Keep everything version that is sent to you. This is your evidence.

4. Vote in person on election day

Vote in person on election day which is Tuesday, the 5th day of November of 2024 (that is this current year right now).

5. Bring your unopened absentee ballot

Bring with you your unopened absentee ballot but vote in person at a voting location.

6. They might say you already voted

When you try to vote in person, then they might say sorry you already voted even if you have not yet voted. Do not panic as they're simply relaying to you what they're being told. You know you haven't voted (assuming if you haven't voted) but they only know what they see on computers or wherever they get their information from. There is a high statistical probability they'll say you already voted since this has happened a lot in 2020 and 2022 in states like California in the United States of America (USA).

7. Don't bitch

Don't whine, complain, yell, panic, go crazy. Stay calm. Don't get mad as this is not a personal attack against you personally. Stay reserved and focused. Don't say words like fraud and stuff.

8. Say, "Can you repeat that to me?"

They'll say it again that you already voted even when you haven't.

9. Request for a provisional ballot

They'll give you a provisional ballot form you can fill out which lets you vote and it means they might investigate it. Well, actually, they'll count the mail-in ballot and not count the provisional ballot as it might be hard to know whether or not you already voted by mail or not. So they'll just count the absentee mail-in ballot even if it was not sent from you. Like even if you didn't vote by mail, they'll count the ballot they received which came by mail in your name.

10. Ask for the supervisor

As they hand you the provisional ballot, calmly ask for the supervisor to confirm that the computer system shows you already voted.

11. Ask the supervisor to double check

Let the supervisor know you did not already vote by mail. Ask the supervisor to double check everything.

12. The supervisor will

The supervisor will check and confirm that you already voted even tho you actually didn't. The supervisor will tell you the same thing the other staff already said, that you already voted even as you didn't because they're only as good as the data they're given. And the data may say you already voted even as you didn't.

13. Step aside

Hold onto the provisional ballot and step aside.

14. Call your sheriff

Call your sheriff or a non-emergency line to your local sheriff department.

15. Do NOT call 911

Remember to NOT call 911.

16. Don't call cops

Do not call regular cops or police, you want to contact your sheriff.

17. Say it's NOT an emergency

When you call for the sheriff, say it's NOT an emergency.

18. Report identity theft

Tell your sheriff you need to report identity theft, tell the sheriff you are a victim of identity theft but it's unique.

19. At a retail place

Tell your sheriff you are standing at a retail place.

20. Not a ballot place

Do not tell your sheriff you're at a voting place. It may technically be a retail place even if it's called a voting location. Do not tell your sheriff you're at a polling place.

21. You witnessed identity theft

Tell your sheriff you watched the identity theft happen right in front of and before your very eyes in person in real life (IRL) and that you are still at that retail location where the identity theft occurred.

22. Ask for a dispatch

Say you need a deputy dispatched or sent to where you are to deal with the identity theft.

23. Don't say anything political or crazy

Remember to tell them your location is retail and not a polling place. You want to make sure the sheriff department know over the phone that you actually watched somebody steal your identity. It was an act of identity theft. Someone has stolen your identity. Don't talk about election meddling, voter fraud, stop the steal, election theft, voting machines, China, Dominion, Mike Lindell's My Pillow, Donald Trump, Infowars's Alex Jones, Roseanne Barr, Tim Pool's Timcast, or other people and things. Just say identity theft because it was identity theft. It's that simple. It's not a conspiracy theory.

24. Wait

Wait for the sheriff to show up.

25. Tell the sheriff your story

The sheriff will find you, tell the sheriff your story that they said you already voted even when you didn't.

26. The sheriff will ask the staff

The sheriff will ask the staff and supervisor if you voted already or not.

27. The staff will confirm

The staff and supervisor will tell the sheriff what they already told you before that you already voted even as you didn't.

28. Pull out your absentee ballot

After that, pull out your absentee mail-in ballot and show it to your sheriff as evidence you didn't already vote yet.

29. Tell the sheriff what you are holding

Tell the sheriff you are holding your mail-in ballot.

30. That it's unopened

Tell the sheriff your ballot was not even opened, still in the original envelope it came in, it was unopened, it was not tampered with at all.

31. That you're a VICTIM of identity theft

Tell your sheriff you were a victim of identity theft as somebody voted in your name.

32. Demand a report

Tell your sheriff you demand a report right now on the spot, at the scene of the crime for the books, for the record.

33. Don't surrender it

Do not surrender your absentee ballot, you do not have to give anybody your ballot as it's your property. Keep it. Hold onto your ballot. You're NOT required by law to surrender your absentee ballot.

34. Keep it

Say you're keeping your unopened absentee ballot as evidence your identity was stolen.

35. This empowers an investigation

This empowers your sheriff to open up an investigation.

36. And the power to seize ballot boxes

This empowers your sheriff to seize ballot boxes.

37. And proper investigation

This empowers the right type of investigation.

38. Vote in person via a provisional ballot

Submit your provisional ballot as you're voting in person and keep your unopened absentee ballot as evidence.

39. Make sure your sheriff is investigating

Make sure your sheriff investigates the identity theft.

Conclusion

Summary of what you can do as follows:

  1. Request for an absentee ballot but don't open it
  2. Vote in person on election day

  1. Help me with Jordan or merge Jordan with other protocols.

  2. Help me with that.

  3. The problem is both the Oatmeal Rounds and regular rounds had similar or identical results. Bill should only activate Oatmeal Rounds if they're at least 2X faster. If a regular round is rescuing bytes at 2 MB/s, then Oatmeal Rounds must be rescuing at a minimum of 4 MB/s to be worth switching. Recently, they were both the same or almost the same in results.

  4. Fix it

  5. Rest lasers for ten minutes after Bill is running for an hour, clock starts when Bill starts.

  6. Merge Jordan or fix Jordan or something.

Sonic Protocol
The Sonic Protocol is the new overriding protocol that runs Sonic at the beginning of each session. Sonic must override protocols that might interfere. Before Bill can run, Sonic must perform two quick passes. First, Sonic must perform Sonic 1 through all remaining non-rescued bytes. Second, Sonic must then run Sonic 2 through all remaining bytes. After that, Oatmeal and Jordan and Phil and all the other protocols can help Bill continue what Sonic did to finish rescuing all 100% of the bytes.

Sonic 1
-c 1 -a 25M -T 5s -M -A -n -N -r0 --cpass=1 --no-trim --no-scrape -K 64KiB -b 2048

Sonic 2
-c 32 -T 5s -n -N -r0 --cpass=1 --no-trim --no-scrape -b 2048

Sonic Protocol
Sonic must do two runs. First, run Sonic 1. But second, after that, run Sonic 2. Run means pass. But pass is NOT just a round. A pass means to run through all remaining bytes. If the Timeout flag interrupts a round, that is NOT a pass. A pass is when you scan through all remaining non-rescued bytes. First, run through all untried bytes. Run through trimmed bytes. Run through scrapped bytes. But scan only. No trimming. No scraping. Sonic must try to pass or run or probe or read all remaining non-rescued bytes during Sonic 1 and Sonic 2. That means potentially thousands of rounds or one big long round.

Housekeeping v Progress Protocol
Bill must finish full passes (runs through all remaining non-rescued bytes). Housekeeping and other Refresh Protocols should only clear cache or anything that might cause the error rate to increase. I've talked for months about this need to get over issues with say the disc drive's firmware getting locked up, we dubbed them the cops. I wanted to re-mark sectors or bytes on the map between passes or at the beginning of sessions or at certain times. But right now, I'm worried that Bill is struggling to complete simple passes through all the bytes. Progress must be made. This is a bit of a paradox. Can progress be made if Housekeeping never fixes problems? The other question is, does it matter if Housekeeping keeps Bill in a Loop-State unable to fully complete passes?

Continue Protocol
The Continue Protocol forces Bill to continue across sessions. In the past, I demanded Session Resets. But I've decided to discontinue that. Please terminate Session Resets. My concern was Bill might get stuck if sessions didn't reset. Currently, I want to override Session Resets. The Continue must make sure Bill can continue. I still like to sometimes retry bytes eventually. But right now, my desire is to quickly make sure Bill can at least run through all remaining bytes before attempting additional passes down the road. Turn off Session Resets. Don't turn off everything, only turn off the Session Resets that might re-mark bytes to untried per session. If I ever finish a full pass resulting in 0 untried, then Bill will need to do something. But at the moment, it is critical to simply get to the end of one simple pass. A healthy disc can finish a pass in under five minutes. Sonic was supposed to help Bill finish a pass in record time. The Continue Protocol must make sure sessions are no longer reverting remaining non-rescued bytes back to untried bytes per session. But after there is 0 untried, then Bill probably should do something. Continue can help Bill continue if there are untried bytes and if there are 0 untried bytes. Continue must make sure Bill can run fast enough and hop far enough to get over scratches and slower spots. It's critical to get over bad spots that can lock up the disc drive.

I use AI all the time. But remember that AI is often very broken. But Gemini said each day for months there is. Right now, Gemini is saying done is the last word. But each day Gemini says that is not true. Gemini is arguing with Gemini. That is bad. There is nothing after done. Nothing. But Gemini always says there is. But there is not. Gemini was wrong each day for months. Gemini refuses to stop. It is too bad Gemini has no memory. If Gemini had memory, Gemini would stop it. If Gemini cannot remember anything, then Gemini cannot stop. if i did it, why would you tell me to do it even after i tell you i did it, and then respond with okay now do it, but i already said i did, and then you say okay now do it, but i said i did and yet you act like i did not.

But you have to always remind the AI that I've had hundreds to thousands of different accounts, channels, pages, groups, sock puppet alt accounts, personas, parodies, profiles, communities, entities, and so on and so forth, ask me about all of that if you dare. People are free to steal any of my like free content, you don't have to give me credit, do whatever you want. MPH Protocol
The independent speed MPH Protocol regulates Bill's speed in any zone, mode, run, pass, level round, world, or whatever. MPH must be designed so Bill can go any speed at any time. But at the same, there must be default routes where MPH goes from fastest to slowest. Gemini usually says the top speed should be 25 MPH which is 25 MB/s. My disc drive is labeled as 16 MB/s but 25 MPH might push Bill over bad spots during earlier rounds. Sometimes, Gemini says 100 MPH might also help. I don't know what to believe because Gemini is often wrong about everything. I don't know how much MPH affects Bill as it often seems Bill goes at whatever speed Bill wants to go. Also, sometimes my drive might be being throttled by cops and stuff. If possible, I would love for Bill to match the MPH to whatever speeds the drive went in the previous rounds. But then again, I don't know if that is a good idea. I think for most flags, including the MPH -a flag, the 80/20 rule apply, generally speaking. The 80/20 rule is twofold. First, stick with the highest settings possible during the first hour of rescuing a disc. Second, to focus on what works the best 80% of the time. A perfect disc can be copied in under 5 minutes, that's around 17.07 MB/s. Other discs, under an hour which is roughly 10x slower. Assume that almost 20 MB/s is the gold standard. My drive is capped at 16 MB/s tho. If copied in an hour, that might be roughly 1.4222 MB/s. 20 MPH is the best. Anything above 2 MPH is good. The MPH Protocol must push Bill to max speeds, especially for the first 80% or more. Eventually and/or as things continue to slow down for many minutes and/or many rounds, especially rounds under 2 MPH, the MPH Protocol might sometimes experiment or try different tactics. For example, the first tactic is the highest MPH possible. Another tactic might be lower MPH. Another might be an average which might be around 10 MPH. Another might be to match whatever speed the drive is going in an attempt to finish the current pass through all bytes. It may or may not be best to raise and lower MPH. Sometimes it feels like MPH might have little power as you get closer and closer to 100% rescued. Therefore, it might be best to keep MPH at max until 99% rescued or until it seems max MPH is doing more harm than good which still might be very hard to determine if MPH is being too counterproductive or not. Build me a template with enough MPH speed options from max speeds to the lowest speeds which even include -a 0 as the lowest speed that I know about right now.

Cluster Protocol
The independent Cluster Protocol must push Bill to focus on the largest cluster sizes possible at first and/or whenever it might help. I recommend including a 128K, 64K, 32K, 16K, 8K, 4K, 2K, 1K, 512, 256, 128, 64, etc, down to -c 1. Must be independent. Must try to do the largest ones at first and whenever it is needed. Bill must know what is needed. Sometimes, higher sizes might not work. There must be a way to quickly see if a crazy high size might do something for a short time. But then eventually Bill needs to lower the volume as too high might be a waste of time sometimes. Especially during the first 80% rescued and/or for the easiest bytes, Bill is encouraged to try for max speeds, max clusters, etc. Perhaps the Housekeeping Protocol might help with keeping things clean. A lot of things can go wrong at any second. Bill might even think a crazy high cluster size is working but it might be just ghost data from cache, RAM, CPU, GPU, etc. So, Bill must be smart with finding the Goldilocks Settings for Clusters, MPH, Mario, etc. Especially for the first 80% or for the easiest bytes at least.

11:46 AM
Default Tiers
Bill must loop levels. Each level must have infinite levels. Bill must attempt multiple tactics to complete each pass. But a pass is a run or probe through all remaining non-rescued bytes. After a pass, it should say 0 untried bytes during the Scan Modes. Bill must try very hard to complete full passes via Mario, MPH, and different tactics when possible. Bill must hop over scratches. Bill must try to run all over the disc during passes. Eventually after trying everything for a long time, the Stall Protocol might push Bill to other levels, etc. Bill must loop in worlds too. The hierarchical tiers goes rounds, levels, worlds, modes inside the Scan Loop or some of the tiers can be added or deleted or altered depending on what is needed. But Bill should not switch to Trim until trying many different levels, worlds, rounds, Scan Modes, etc. Bill should first try everything to finish each pass. Each level represents a pass. But each level should be unique. Bill must try different things. Bill must by default loop forever until it is time to switch.

Timeouts to Risk Ratio
The default must be the higher the risk, then the smaller the timeout. Speed might minimize risk normally. The larger the cluster size, the higher the probability of risk which means timeouts should probability be minimized at first until it is proven that it is working. But generally speaking, timeouts are supposed to help protect Bill from risks. Some things might increase the odds of risk. Like running into scratches and bad spots. Increasing jump sizes might decrease the probability of risk for example. Timeouts can help extend rounds which is sometimes good if it is working but dangerous when it is not working as well.

Direct Protocol
The independent Direct Protocol must sometimes use the -d --idirect related flags to help Bill when Bill really needs it the most. The Stall Protocol, for example, could trigger the Direct Protocol. I was able to rescue almost 80% of a disc in about an hour without -d which means -d is not always needed. Bill must try -d out. Bill can turn -d on and off at any time when other tactics are not working. If -d improves performance (The Goldilocks Rescue Protocol), then -d could continue to be used when it is needed the most. Not just the -d flag but also -R and -O and maybe even Error related flags and maybe even -J. Tho -J might be less likely to work. But Bill can try different flags to see if they improve performances when Bill is struggling. Especially when below 2 MB/s before 80% rescued. After 80% rescued, it might be more normal for speeds to drop under 1 MB/s and that might not be the worse thing. But Bill can still decide to try things out when needed and to use whatever works the best. The Direct Protocol must be independent of other tiers. Bill can use the Direct Protocol whenever Bill needs it the most.

08:06 PM
Dear Gemini
Gemini wrote, "To fix this so Bill actually listens..." But I didn't say Bill doesn't listen. I said Gemini doesn't listen. I said Timeout should begin small and gradually get bigger. Gemini translated the word "GRADUAL" to mean two things. First, a one second timeout. Second, a one hour timeout. That is NOT gradual. But that is what Gemini did. That is proof of how bad Gemini is. List of some of the problems:

  1. Bill failed to decrease Clusters Size (-c 131072) after that first round. If Clusters are too high, turn it down to -c 64K the next round. After that, 32K. And then 16K. Find the Goldilocks Settings. Gemini used to say 2K was the ceiling for cluster. Then Gemini said 4K. And then 16K. Therefore, 131K is probably not going to work. Anything above 16K should only be tried one time per session. 8K might work a little sometimes. Usually, Bill does better when clusters are below 2K.
  2. Bill might be stuck on a scratch.
  3. Bill decreased jump sizes but it is better to increase to hop over bad areas. You decrease after rescuing a lot of bytes. When you struggle, then you increase jump sizes.
  4. Bill failed to activate -d and/or any flag that might help.
  5. Bill did not really return to normal rounds. It looks like Bill was stuck in Oatmeal Rounds and was unable to escape it.

Gemini is bad at writing code.
Here are some of the many problems:

  1. It went from -c 131072 clusters size by 50% per round (which is good) but then looped back to 131K for no reason. If 131K produced 50 MB/s, that would be a great reason.
  2. It always seems to say "TARGET: 0x110008000" or at least lately which might be a scratch, a loop, if it is not able to complete a pass.
  3. It says -a 100K and it also sometimes says -a 75K.
  4. It says -d every single time which means it is not even trying. It should turn -d on and off to see what works. It did not work with -d. Bill should have turned it off realizing it did not work with -d. If Bill was still stalling, then Bill could have turned it back on. Same thing with any flag, really.
  5. You are missing the cpass flags which I want for many levels or at least until all the easier bytes are gone. I prefer cpass until 99%.
  6. Jump sizes should increase if stalled.
  7. Why not try Error flags sometimes?
  8. Why not try many different flags when stalling?

Timestamps generally in Pacific Standard Time (PST) or Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) unless otherwise noted. Welcome to my Oatmeal Daily which is generally posted & syndicated to different websites daily by me, Oatmeal Joey Arnold, feel free to mirror, edit, clip, reupload my content. For more information, see some of the links on this page or you can try to Google search or look me up using keywords like Oatmeal Joey Arnold @ joeyarnoldvn and other keywords. Try using different combinations of words in search engines for better results. I went to bed at 5 AM. Woke up at 11:10 AM. Breakfast: 11:19 AM. My car had an error message on the dashboard. Perhaps the car struggled to start. I restarted the car like 3 times all in like one minute and it did start but had like a service engine icon and/or something. Car drove normal for like 2 miles. What are you thankful, Mark talked about at noon. Name almost reminds me of Perez, a YouTuber like Iranian American or something. But from the Ivory Coast. California like before 2012 or whatever it was. WA since like 2012. Several kids under like 20. Bible name possibly. Not Precious. Bill Williams and Heather were missionaries in that country in Africa around 1990 for like a few years. Escaping the lies of the Jehovah Witness cult. Colors are amazing. Mark asked if I lead people to Christ online, do I tell people, I said I feel like they already know. At the Farm Stand, I asked him if he was a Mariner fan, yeah when they win, I said the Sonics are cool if they return, I love MJ but the Blazers were my team. Walmart Arco 5.2 gallons for around 26 bucks. Lunch: 02:00 PM. Chopped firewood. Organized in the big garage for a few hours. Dinner: 09:00 PM. Wood stove. Dishes for around two hours to like 11:30 PM. Food log: nuts, 04:30 AM. Breakfast: coffee, orange, 11:19 AM. Lunch: banana bread mom made today, toaster oven heated like cherry bread, 02:00 PM. Dinner: soup on potatoes or something, 09:00 PM. More banana bread.
